Dave Ruimveld

David Ruimveld is a self taught artist working with watercolor and acrylic washes to create images of Angling, Sporting, and Wildlife Art.  His paintings have gained recognition in many galleries, fly shops, and homes throughout the USA, and lately overseas. While he is better known for his paintings of the "Famous Rivers" series, he also enjoys creating images of bird dogs and upland game.
Born and raised in Michigan, he has spent a good measure of the time outdoors in pursuit of big and small game, with rod or bow in hand.  Traditional values and ethics were instilled in him by a family of fishing and hunting enthusiasts.  He gets his inspiration from his own recollection and by stories told while hunting, fishing and hiking throughout the USA.  Trying to paint more than just a pretty picture, David captures the thoughts, realities, and memories of many outdoor enthusiasts.
He admires and supports many conservation groups like TU, FFF, Wild Turkey Federation, and will continue to do so.  I believe they are doing great works to preserve our heritage and the rights that we have to hunt and fish and enjoy the great outdoors.
